Meet Mike & Angela — The Owners Behind Your Local Cleaning Authority
Mike and I are both alumni of the University of Waterloo. We met and married in Ottawa and are the parents of two sons, James and Tom.
Mike and I have been lucky enough to have an unusually varied work history. We spent almost 10 years working in first Arizona and then Oregon. We returned to Ontario in 2005.
Although our backgrounds are in Engineering and IT, our enthusiasm for entrepreneurship inspired us to open The Cleaning Authority in 2013, serving Markham, Unionville, and Scarborough.
We have since expanded our territory, taking over businesses that serviced the eastern part of Toronto and, most recently, Vaughan and Richmond Hill.

We are passionate about quality and making a difference in both our employees' and customers' lives. We have excellent staff, all Bonded and Insured, led by our Managers, Natasha Kroon and Donna Ward. Natasha has been with us since 2013, working her way up from Cleaner to Inspector to Manager. Donna joined us in 2022, and if you have ever called us, you have probably spoken to her as she leads us in Customer Service. You may receive a visit from one of our Inspectors, Marianna Kaminari or Michelle Byrn. The inspections are overseen by our Senior Inspector and Trainer, Shelley Steven.

We’re passionate about giving back. We actively participate in coat drives, food drives, and Cleaning For A Reason. Cleaning For A Reason is a nonprofit organization that provides free house cleaning services to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. The initiative aims to ease the burden for patients by allowing them to focus on their health while dedicated cleaning professionals take care of their homes.
