How is the Detail-Clean Rotation System different?
Our Exclusive Detail-Clean Rotation System gives your home a “detail-clean” within the first two cleans. On the first clean, we detail-clean your kitchen and bathrooms and thoroughly clean the rest of your home. On the second clean, we detail-clean the sleeping and living areas and thoroughly clean the rest. Each time we clean your home, your clean will involve a general clean, plus a detail-clean of certain areas (based on cleaning frequency).
What should I do to prepare for my green home cleaning?
We appreciate if you will provide our cleaning team with a clutter-free environment. If that environment does not exist, we may not be able to fully complete your clean.
What if I’m not satisfied with the service?
If you’re ever unhappy with an area we cleaned, we’ll return the next day and reclean it.
Who will be cleaning my home?
A team of professional housecleaners, trained and employed by The Cleaning Authority, will clean your home. All of our employees are uniformed, fully insured, and bonded. They will not eat, drink, smoke, or operate any appliances while inside your home.
Do I need to provide house cleaning supplies?
We provide all cleaning equipment and products. If you have a special cleaning product that you would like for us to use, please be sure to discuss this with the local office owner or manager in advance, so that they can properly instruct their team.
How much will it cost to clean my home?
When determining your home cleaning cost we recognize that every home is as unique as the homeowner. We base your exact price on many factors including pets, clutter, floor types, as well as, the number of people who live there. Will it cost the same each time you come to my house?
The Detail-Clean Rotation System starts with two initial cleans. The initial cleans get your house detail clean by cleaning areas other companies often neglect. Because these two cleans take additional time we typically charge an additional fee. After your initial cleans, the price will not vary between visits.
Will you come on the same day and time for each clean?
While we can commit to a specific day, there are many factors throughout the day that may affect our actual arrival time. If you desire an estimated time of arrival on the day of your clean, please call us, and we’ll be glad to oblige.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Absolutely not. In fact, most of our customers prefer not to be home when we clean!
What should I do with my pets during the cleaning?
If you have pets, we ask that you prevent them from entering the areas that we clean. For sanitary and safety reasons, our teams of residential cleaning professionals are not permitted to clean flea infested homes or pick up animal excrement.
How do I pay for my home cleaning?
Payment is due the day of each scheduled clean. Most of our customers simply leave a check on the kitchen counter or pay by major credit card (credit cards accepted at participating locations only). Please contact your local office for details.
How do I schedule an appointment with you?
It’s simple. Call 1-(888) 692-6156 and speak with a representative from The Cleaning Authority. They would be more than happy to provide you with a free phone estimate and schedule your appointment to meet with a local office owner or manager.
What is mildew and how can I get rid of it?
Mildew is a type of fungus that can be found growing on a multitude of surfaces where moisture and temperature levels are high. Mildew can typically be identified by its color (pinkish-orange to black). Most mildews are caused by an overgrowth of mold.
Our professional housecleaners will be able to impede the growth of mildew by removing the built up food sources that it lives on, such as soap, skin, hair and etc. However, as long as humidity is present, mildew will grow in the area.
To stop the growth of mildew, the area must be kept dry or in many cases, it must be chemically treated. Chlorine bleach is a good sanitizer to use on an infected area.
To reduce the pungent odor of the bleach, dilute it up to 50% with water. The most practical application method would be to lightly spray the mildew affected area. It is not necessary to apply bleach to uninfected areas. Leave the bleach in contact with the surface area for at least an hour. Rinse any area that you will touch in later use. Repeat the application on a bi-weekly basis or when mildew reappears.
While chlorine bleach is not a Green Seal Certified® chemical, it must be used in some severe cases when you or your family’s health is at risk. Because this product is not Green Seal Certified®, we do not carry it, but you can find it easily in your grocery store.
How much should I purchase for a gift certificate?
If you are unsure of the appropriate gift amount, we encourage you to contact a local office for assistance in choosing the perfect gift. Once the gift certificate has been gifted, all the recipient needs to do is contact the local office and schedule service.
How can I enter to win a year of free housecleaning?
To be eligible to win a free year of housecleaning, you must be in our service areas and fill out the form on our giveaway site. Winners are selected quarterly and notified by email or phone. For official rules and regulations, visit www.winfreecleans.com.
How do I reset my password for my account?
We understand that you have plenty of passwords to remember and keep track. If you forget or misplace your password, you can click to reset it from your MyTCA Account login page. If you also forgot your username, you will need to contact your local office.
How do I sign up for MyTCA Rewards?
To sign-up, you must be a current customer with a portal account. If you are not currently signed up for a portal account, visit your local office page and click on "Access MyTCA Account." From there, you can follow the prompts. Please note that you will need your account number to create an account. Your account number can be found at the top of the Detail-Clean Rotation Slip left at your home at the end of every clean.
How do I redeem my MyTCA Rewards points?
To redeem your points for certificates first login to your MyTCA Account through your local office page. Next, click on the "MyTCA Rewards" Tab. From there you will see your account balance and a button to "Redeem Points" on the left hand side. "Add To Cart" the certificate you would like to redeem. Once you are done selecting the certificates you would like to redeem, you will need to check out to finalize your purchase. After checkout, you will be routed to the Customer Summary Page where you can print the certificate or have it emailed to you. To redeem the certificate, leave it out for your cleaning crew on your next scheduled clean to be applied as payment.
